THE COLUMBIA CITY JAZZ DANCE COMPANY - PUBLIC PERFORMANCES

Spring

When Dale first took over the job as jazz dance instructor at the Columbia Conservatory of Dance around 1990 she quickly noticed a problem with the program. Her students were in class all year, but the only time they actually got to perform was at the end of the season during recital. Dale strongly believes that a dancer's training is incomplete unless they've actually performing. The Columbia City Jazz Dance Company was born out of that need.

To this day, public performances are a very important role of this company. It is our mission to "demonstrate the varying art forms of jazz dance to the underserved dance audiences of South Carolina through a series of, live, public performances." We are a tax except, not for profit organization. We receive funding from the private sector, corporate businesses and government programs in large part because of our commitment to serving the community in performing arts. We are often asked to perform at a variety of events, schools, etc through out South Carolina.

We are available, on a limited basis, for public and education performances. Additionally, we will be happy to discussing providing entertainment for your social or corporate event. Please don't hesitate to contact us!
