AUDITIONING FOR THE COLUMBIA CITY JAZZ DANCE COMPANY
COMPANY AUDITIONS - Saturday, July 31st, 1:00pm
If you have good ballet basics and are interested in becoming a member of a exciting performance oriented dance company with a little competition on the side, we're looking for you!
We're currently auditioning dancers from age 6 up to 17. We'll look at stretch, flexibility, basic ballet technique, tap technique, stage presence, and personality. There will be an across-the-floor sequence set to see how dancers pick up choreography and style for the higher Company levels. The younger dancers are given a basic combination to suite their level.
There is a $20.00 audition fee.
There are no particular dress requirments, but a bright coloured leotard, jazz shoes, tap shoes, ballet shoes, and hair pulled away from the face will show us you mean business.

The Columbia City Jazz Company is a not-for-profit organization. We are supported through grants, corporate donations and member fund-raising efforts. There is a membership fee, and we do expect participation from each family and dancer to help us meet our budget goals each season. The funds raised help pay for company costumes, choreography and the overall operating budget of the group.
